Which specialization is best in LLB?

Legal studies are all about dealing with conflicts and resolving their issues. Now conflicts are everywhere in every organized system. To be an expert in a particular area of conflict one has to first choose the domain such as crime, environment, gender, international, equity and trusts, administrative/constitutional etc.
Being specialized in an area can make an individual and expert and contact cases focusing solely on the particular area. Here are a few specializations that have promising careers in the field of law.
Criminal law - this is one of the oldest and the most underlying specializations with respect to crime and investigation. As a criminal lawyer, it is one’s a duty to represent and defend the client's case accused in some sort of criminal charges.
Corporate law - this is a field where a lawyer gets to work with big corporate firms. Here a lawyer deals with corporate law, contracts, corporate privileges and ordinances.
Intellectual property law - this specialization deals with protecting the intellectual property rights of an individual such as a trademark after invention, a patent after invention or copyright after writing a fictional article or nonfictional story.
Cyberlaw - this specialization deals with illegal activities happening in the cyber world with the help of the internet. Cyber mischief, theft, forgery, terrorism etc are all cybercrimes. Cybercrime lawyers can easily find jobs in the police department, corporate houses, government houses etc. This is relatively a new specialization in the field of legal studies and one could easily find a greater potential.
Academically, the Department of Legal Studies has opted for practical experience-based training as a supplement of textbook knowledge. There are varied activities conducted for the enhancement of students’ practical knowledge. Court and Mock trial, legal aid camp for the ones in need, moot court training, group discussion, educational excursion, counselling, departmental seminars, etc. Awareness programs also form a part of their activities at large. It includes the street play, skits over socially burning issues, etc. and its implementation.
With all the supplementation and implementation, every faculty tries their best to follow the rules and guide the students towards a better future, for themselves and the nation. To pursue a degree in Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) a candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 45% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ ST candidates). |

Fee reimbursement upto ₹ 50,000/- for APST candidates having family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) per annum under schemes offered by Central Govt./ State Govt. subject to compliance of prescribed terms and conditions.
