Bachelor of Science (Hons. - Physics) is an undergraduate academic degree programme that focuses on the study of the fundamental principles of physics. The Arunachal University of Studies is offering this programme in dual mode i.e. B.Sc. (Hons. - Physics) & B.Sc. (Hons. Research - Physics). This degree programme is typically four years long and involves a combination of lectures, laboratory work, and research projects. The Students of this Programme will be eligible for pursuing 1 Year Master of Science (Physics) programme from the University. Also, the students who will score more than 75% or equivalent grade in programme will be eligible for pursuing Ph.D. programme directly.

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Hons. - Physics) degree will study a range of topics, including classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and optics. They will also learn mathematical techniques such as calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations, which are used extensively in physics.

In addition to the core physics courses, students may also have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of physics, such as astrophysics, particle physics, or condensed matter physics. This specialization typically involves taking additional elective courses and conducting research projects in the chosen area of interest.

After completing a Bachelor of Science (Hons. - Physics) degree, students may choose to pursue further education in physics or a related field, such as engineering, computer science, or materials science. Alternatively, they may seek employment in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, aerospace, healthcare, and finance, where their skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking are highly valued.

The Candidates willing to exit Bachelor of Science (Hons. - Physics) programme after three years may apply for B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Degree from the University. It is an undergraduate academic degree programme that combines the study of physics, chemistry, and mathematics. This degree program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in these three fundamental sciences.

The curriculum of a B.Sc. (PCM) programme usually consists of core courses in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as elective courses that allow students to specialize in specific areas of interest. Some of the common core courses in a B.Sc. (PCM) program include calculus, algebra, mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, atomic and molecular physics, inorganic and organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.

The program is designed to equip students with analytical and problem-solving skills that are essential for scientific research and development. The program also emphasizes hands-on learning through laboratory work and research projects, which enable students to apply theoretical concepts to practical problems.

Graduates of a B.Sc. (PCM) program may have a wide range of career opportunities available to them, including research and development in scientific industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and engineering. They may also choose to pursue further education in physics, chemistry, mathematics, or related fields at the graduate level. Other career paths for graduates of this program may include teaching, data analysis, or consulting.
