Arunachal University of Studies offers a postgraduate degree in law i.e Masters of Law. It is a two-year postgraduate programme that focuses on the entirety of the legal world and studies. The course is structured to offer legal education regarding all spectrums and trademarks of legal practices of the country and also across the universe. The Master of Law (LL.M) not just upgrades the alma mater better but helps to potentially advance your career. However, a master's degree alone cannot upgrade one’s ambition. Skills required to be a lawyer


  • A student must pay attention to details. It is a lawyer's first job to seek every piece of information from top to bottom to form the basic bone of any case. And to do this, utmost attention needs to be implemented.
  • A student must be a good communicator to give logical reasons while presenting the case. A lawyer should be confident enough to ask the right set of questions at the right time. This helps the judge to form a pattern with a thorough explanation ensuring that the case gets a win every time.
  • A student must be a good writer. Reading and writing both are two important parts of a legal career. Knowing the language of the law is truly important because it is difficult to interpret. Therefore learning how to read and write with respect to the law can make a student achieve greater heights, career-wise.
  • A student needs to be self-disciplined and have a sense of moral code. Students must understand that lawyers are made to offer rightful justice to clients and not choose sites even when the client is guilty. It is the job of the lawyer to protect the innocent in his or her country and having a strong moral code is what makes this world a better place to live.




Eligibility

To pursue a degree in Master of Law (LL.M) a candidate must have an undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent.



Financial Assistance :-

Fee reimbursement upto ₹ 50,000/- for APST candidates having family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) per annum under schemes offered by Central Govt./ State Govt.  subject to compliance of prescribed terms and conditions.



APST candidates having family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) per annum may also check for World Education Mission Scholarship Guarantee Scheme for this programme.
