As a part of Industry Exposure Initiative, students from School of Pharmacy, Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) visited Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Guwahati. During the visit, students were exposed to various testing procedures and SOPs that are required while working in pharmaceutical industry. They were also provided a tour of various company divisions such as Quality Assurance, Production etc. Sun Pharma executives ─ Mr Srinivas Samakuri, Head, Quality
Assurance (Parenterals) and Mr Himanshu Kakati, Production Manager ─ briefed the students about latest industry trends and how students can explore a career in pharmacy.
The industrial tour was led by Prof. (Dr.) Shantanu Bandopadhyay, Principal, School of Pharmacy, AUS. He said, “visits like this provide an opportunity to the students to learn the practical aspects of the industry through the working methods and employment practices.”
