The Inter-University Board of India resolved that graduates of any stream would be eligible for admission to the Librarianship courses conducted by the Indian Universities. The University has established the faculty for full-fledged study of Library & Information Science and further research. The University offers a one-year Bachelor of Library & Information Science and one-year of Masters of Library & Information Science programmes. The courses are designed to be flexible and wide-ranging, incorporating the cung edge as well as ensuring a firm grasp of core fundamentals. The department has a fairly well equipped and fully computerized library.
